U-18 2 games on first day
We flew to Seattle and met Ava at the airport. We stayed the night at a massive hotel that handed out tons of free cookies. After the last full night of sleep we’ve had so far, we headed to the airport for our flight to Iceland. Waiting for the plane consisted of playing cards, looking up random facts about Iceland and eating. A long 8 hours later we arrived in Iceland. Our first view of Iceland was pitch black, and super windy. We arrived at the house we are staying at half an hour later for a quick two hour nap. After breakfast we headed to our first game which began at noon. We had a close game eventually losing by two. We played well but with heavy legs. It was a good competitive game to start off the trip. We had lunch and watched the u16 game. Our second game was at 4 and we had a tough first half but ended up winning the second half 7-6. After a change in defensive styles we recovered well in the second half. After a quick shower, we stopped for groceries and came back to the house. We were given an hour on our phones which we all enjoyed. The u18 team ate dinner first and we had tacos. We began our individual meetings with Mike while the rest of us relaxed before bedtime. We are excited for another day tomorrow but all ready to go to bed right now.
Love,
Kennedy and Haven
